Things You Need to Know

In today’s online shopping market, I believe that honesty is the best policy. That’s why I've designed the most generous, fair and transparent store policy for my customers. Read the following sections to find out more about how I ship or exchange products, or about how I secure your personal data. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions!

Return and Refund Policy

I gladly accept returns and cancellations under certain circumstances: 

Contact me within: 7 days of delivery

Ship items back to me within: 14 days of delivery

Request a cancellation within: 6 hours of purchase.  Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant service and admin fees.  If a third party courier has been  booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (Third party courier charges are subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Vintage)

I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected.  To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity if you are in doubt.

Vintage and antique furniture rarely dismantle for delivery and it is the responsibility of the customer to check the dimensions against their access points in advance of purchase.  In the event that the buyer has measured incorrectly and a failed delivery occurs the full cost of third party courier charge  will be paid by the customer along with the following charges:

Third party courier failed delivery fee (charge varies and is determined by Third Party Courier)

Card merchant service refund and admin fee £50

Delivery handling fee (for packaging) £15

Damages to item if not returned in the same condition

For upholstered items it is the customers responsibility to request fabric samples.

I do accept returns in the unlikely event that goods are faulty or damaged in transportation or if the listing on my site is materially inaccurate, misleading, or misrepresents the goods. In these cases, please provide photographic evidence to me or reject the delivery on arrival.  Please note that vintage items are not sold as new and are likely to show signs of wear and tear and this is not sufficient grounds for a refund. I am not held liable for any damages or loss sustained in transit via third parties.

I don't accept exchanges.

But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.

The following items can't be returned or exchanged

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

  • Custom or personalised orders

  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)

  • Digital downloads

  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)

  • Items on sale

Conditions of return

​​

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and for arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Shipping

I work with a third party courier who delivers throughout most parts of Mainland England and Wales with a two  man service.  I subsidise this service and it is priced at £59.

 

Delivery to Mainland Scotland (excluding Highland) is priced at £89.

 

For deliveries to the Scottish Highlands and other remote areas please contact me for a quote in advance of your purchase.

 

All deliveries are subject to a handling fee of £15 to cover my packaging costs.
