Painted Vintage Gentleman's Wardrobe by Austinsuite in Farrow and Ball Off Black
A stunning 1960's Gentleman's armoire / wardrobe / tallboy by Austinsuite with three shelves to the side of a wooden hanging rail. The door has the original stunning brass door handle and lock escutcheon which I have cleaned and polished by hand. This elegant cabinet is well proportioned and is in very good order, with original lock and key working. It has been carefully sanded, restored and hand painted externally in Farrow and Ball's timeless and dramatic 'Off Black' Modern Eggshell and would be a fabulous storage addition to a bedroom or landing.

Condition:
This piece is in excellent condition with no damage to note apart from the minor nicks, dents and previous repairs which are to be expected with vintage and antique pieces and adds to their character. I have cleaned thoroughly inside and oiled with Danish oil and the door opens and closes and locks and unlocks with ease. I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats to ensure a high quality finish. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic; they will naturally distress over time with general wear and tear, like all furniture.

I aim to provide a personal service as far as possible and I am pleased to offer free delivery with this piece in person via our own 'Pigeon Post' with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service to 100 mile radius of SY7 8QG postcode. Delivery is to ground floor and I shall be in touch directly after your purchase to arrange a suitable delivery date. If you are located outside of my 100 mile radius, I would be delighted to arrange delivery via a third party furniture courier with a fully bubble wrapped and blanketed service within Mainland UK for a small surcharge. To avoid disappointment please contact me with your post code for an indicative quote and timeframe if you are located outside of this radius. Third party courier service is for a one man service to ground floor and assistance is required with unloading. Alternatively I live in Shropshire and collection can be arranged if preferred.
