Oak Pedestal Teacher's Desk by Burndale in Farrow and Ball Hague Blue
A handsome mid century industrial style oak veneered pedestal desk / teacher's desk by Burndale with four drawers and pull out stationery tray, dating probably from the 1930's. This lovely desk is well proportioned with the original oak handles which together with the drawers and desktop have been stripped, cleaned and given a light lacquer. The desk frame and beech legs have also been carefully sanded and painted in Farrow & Ball's timeless greeny blue 'Hague Blue' Eggshell. This piece would be a fabulous addition to a study, hallway, dining room, landing or indeed any contemporary room.
The desk does not disassemble so please measure all door widths and access points (e.g. stairs, hallways, turning points) before purchasing.
Condition:
This piece is in very good condition with no damage to note apart from some age related ink stains and ring marks to the desk, along with some markings inside the drawers, as to be expected with a piece of this age and really add to its character. Please contact me if you'd like to see additional detail photos.
I don't just slap on a coat of chalk paint on my pieces and call them upcycled - each of my pieces undergoes a lengthy process of restoration and preparation before being painstakingly stripped, cleaned, restored, woodworm treated if there is any sign of historic woodworm, primed and undercoated before painting a minimum of 4 coats of genuine Farrow & Ball eggshell to ensure a high quality finish. My pieces aren't distressed or shabby chic - they will distress naturally over time with general wear and tear.

I do accept returns under certain circumstances, however I do not accept returns if you decide on receipt of your item that the size isn't right or doesn't suit your space, or if the colour isn't as you expected. To avoid disappointment please double check the dimensions and the colour / finish before making your purchase and please do get in touch should you require any further information or clarity.
Cancellations are subject to a cancellation charge of £50 to cover card merchant services and admin fees. If a courier has been booked and paid for the full cost of delivery charge will be paid by the customer (courier charges are 50% subsidised by Yellow Pigeon Bespoke Furniture):

Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:

Conditions of return
Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs and arranging courier. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

My third party courier delivers furniture throughout Mainland England & Wales for a flat fee of £59.
Delivery to Mainland Scotland (excluding Highlands) is charged at a flat fee of £89.
For deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, and other remote areas, please contact me for a quote.
All deliveries are subject to a handling fee of £15
