Welcome to Yellow Pigeon Vintage!  I am a sole trader specialising in restoring and upcycling vintage and antique furniture, trading since 2016.  I have been painting vintage furniture since the early 1990's when I was a student at Art College and after a successful 15 year career in Corporate Treasury both in the UK and in Dubai, I gave up my job within a Dubai Government owned company to pursue my dream of being my own boss, running my own business and return to my roots of upcycling furniture and I haven't looked back since!

After a course in Upholstery at my local college, together with my husband's help, I started up as Yellow Pigeon Vintage in 2016 and I was very proud to have sold my very first piece of furniture to a London based Interior Designer for her own dining room!  Both her and her beautiful Cotswolds home are featured in House and Garden The List.  I have a number of returning customers and my client list includes artists, novelists, interior designers, Savile Row bespoke tailor 'Kent & Haste', London based boutique cocktail bar/bowling alley 'All Star Lanes', Derbyshire's Restaurant of the Year 2018 'The Lighthouse Restaurant'.

I am passionate about the environment and whilst upcycling unique vintage, retro and antique furniture and I hand pick my pieces locally where possible.  Each piece is lovingly restored and hand painted or reupholstered in my workshop here in the Shropshire Hills AONB to create a high quality, classic and luxury piece of elegant furniture using only eco friendly 100% water based Farrow & Ball or Little Greene Paint Co Eggshell Paints.
